Terms & Conditions -

When using a travel notary service, key terms and conditions include pre-agreed service fees (including travel), payment due at the time of service, non-refundable fees (unless cancelled in advance), and the need for valid identification and documents.

Here's a more detailed breakdown of common travel notary terms and conditions:

Fees and Payment:

  • Service Fee:

A fee for the notarization service itself, which is separate from the travel fee.

  • Travel Fee:

A fee for the notary traveling to the client's location, which is typically agreed upon beforehand.

  • Payment Due:

Payment for the service, including the travel fee, is usually due at the time of the notarization.

  • Payment Methods:

Notaries may accept cash, credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Zella or other approved payment methods.

  • Cancellation Fees:

Cancellation fees may apply if you cancel or reschedule within a certain timeframe (e.g., less than 24 hours).

Requirements for Notarization:

  • Valid Identification: Signers must present a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID.

  • Documents: Ensure all necessary documents are present and ready for notarization.

  • Personal Appearance: Signers must personally appear before the notary for the notarization to be valid.

  • Accuracy of Information: You must confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete.

Other Important Considerations:

  • No Guarantee of Results:

Notaries typically cannot guarantee specific outcomes or acceptance of documents by third parties.

  • Loss or Damage:

The notary is not liable for documents lost or damaged during transit.

  • Human Errors:

While striving for accuracy, errors can occur, and the notary's liability is usually limited to a full refund of service fees.

  • Independent Contractors:

Notaries may use independent contractors or third-party agents, but the notary does not assume responsibility for their actions.

  • Appointment Cancellation or Rescheduling:

If you need to cancel or reschedule, do so in writing and within the specified timeframe.

  • Chargeback Disputes:

By engaging the notary's services, you authorize the presentation of your card information to your card provider in the event of a chargeback dispute.

  • Notary's Liability:

The notary's liability is typically limited to providing a full refund of service fees paid.

  • Unlawful or Prohibited Use:

You may not use the notary's services for any unlawful or prohibited purpose.

  • Mobile Notary Services:

Mobile Notaries travel to the customer's location to perform notarizations.
